International Yoga Day-2025

International Yoga Day-2025

Report

On June 23, 2025, Christ School CBSE cherished and celebrated International Yoga Day with tremendous enthusiasm. This momentous milestone was honored with a special assembly held in the auditorium.

Invoking the blessings of the Almighty at the beginning of the program created a calm and spiritual environment. Grade 9 students gave a stunning presentation on the history and significance of Yoga Day, emphasizing its longstanding Indian cultural roots as well as its worldwide influence.

A group of students led by yoga instructor Ms. Rekha performed a beautiful rendition of Surya Namaskar, which was one of the event’s highlights. Their coordinated motions demonstrated self-control, concentration, and awareness.

Rev. Fr. Johnson Kadaparambil, CMI, the principal, gave the students an energizing and thought-provoking speech about the value of incorporating yoga into daily life for overall wellbeing.

Students then asserted their dedication to both physical and mental wellness by pledging to make yoga a regular part of their lives. A Grade 9 student’s sloka recital, which echoed the oneness, balance, and inner serenity that yoga offers, brought the celebration to a spiritually uplifting close.

In addition to honoring the day, the celebration served as a reminder of yoga’s enduring importance in promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
