REPORT ON THE “READ AND GROW” MARATHON
The “Read and Grow” Marathon was successfully conducted on 30th June 2025 at Christ School, CBSE Campus, organized under the guidance of the Ministry of Arts and Culture. The event was held with the purpose of promoting the joy of reading and emphasizing its vital role in personal development and lifelong learning.
The marathon began with a brief but impactful inauguration ceremony, where the Father Principal of Christ School addressed the gathering. He spoke about the importance of nurturing reading habits from a young age and how reading contributes to building thoughtful and well-rounded individuals.
One of the school’s students also delivered a meaningful message, highlighting how reading enhances both knowledge and imagination, and how books serve as lifelong companions on the journey of growth.
Students from Grades 7A and 7B actively participated in the marathon. Holding placards with motivational quotes about reading, they covered a symbolic distance within the school premises. The placards and the walk together conveyed a powerful message — that reading leads the way to a brighter future.
The event turned out to be a joyful and memorable experience for everyone involved. It not only reinforced the idea that reading is essential for intellectual and emotional development but also inspired many students to embrace books as a regular part of their lives.
