EMINENCE QUEST – 9TH ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION
The campus came alive this evening as Christ School CBSE celebrated its Annual Day under the radiant theme “Eminence Quest.” What unfolded on stage was not merely a sequence of events but a tapestry of Karnataka’s cultural rhythms, biblical storytelling, youthful artistry, and the unmistakable Christite spirit of striving for excellence.
The ceremony opened with the Guard of Honour, followed by the invocation and the solemn lighting of the lamp: an age-old gesture that felt poetic in its symbolism: young minds stepping into light and learning.
The first wave of performances set the tone: a cinematic dance by Grades 1 and 2, charming the audience with their innocence and polish. This segued into a spirited Western dance by Grades 3–5, their synchrony reflecting hours of quiet discipline behind the scenes.
A highlight of the evening was the Karnataka Folk Dance by Grade 8 students. Rooted in native rhythms and steeped in regional colour, it felt like a cinematic homage to the land itself: earthy, energetic, and deeply cultural.
Equally stirring was the Musical Theatre on the Birth of Jesus, performed by Grade 9. With its narrative grace and theatrical finesse, the production blended devotion with dramatic craft, evoking the ambience of classic stage musicals. The performers brought tenderness, tension, and joy to the nativity story, making it a centrepiece of this year’s celebration.
Dances portraying Unity in Diversity, classical traditions, and contemporary movements added layers of meaning; like chapters in a living anthology of Indian culture and modern creativity.
Three segments of the Annual Report were presented throughout the evening, offering a clear, compelling narrative of the school’s accomplishments. The most applauded moment, however, arrived during the Award Ceremony, where students were honoured for international achievements in sports, swimming, and other competitive arenas. Their stories stood as testament to perseverance, talent, and guided mentorship; achievements that will inspire generations of Christites.
