Christ School CBSE observed Founder’s Day with reverence and gratitude, honouring the life and legacy of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the pioneer of value-based education, on January 14th 2026.

The programme was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Jeff Shawn Jose CMI, Registrar of Dharmaram College and Associate Professor of Philosophy, along with the Principal Rev Dr Johnson Kadaparambil CMI, Staff Secretaries, teachers, and students.

The celebration began with an Invocation Dance followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the victory of knowledge over ignorance. The Welcome Address highlighted the relevance of Saint Chavara’s ideals in today’s educational world.

Students were honoured during the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where Dr. Jeff Shawn Jose CMI distributed the awards. He was later felicitated with a shawl by the Principal and with a giftbox and dry fruit basket by the Staff Secretaries as a mark of respect and gratitude.

The programme featured a devotional Chavara song, a tableau portraying key moments from Saint Chavara’s life, and an inspiring address by the Principal, Rev Dr Johnson Kadaparambil CMI. A special speech on Saint Chavara further deepened the understanding of his vision and contributions.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks, leaving the audience inspired by Saint Chavara’s enduring message that education must shape character and compassion.
