The first FDP of the Academic Year 2026-27 was conducted from 20th to 22nd May, 2026, at St Chavara Auditorium. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Greta D Souza, HOD, School of Education, Christ University.

Prof. Dr. Saju Chackalackal CMI, Rector of Dharmaram College and Manager of Christ Group of Schools, spoke on the significance of the CMI Year of Media in relation to the current academic session. Rev. Fr. Nilson Davis CMI, Co-ordinator of the Christ Group of Schools and Principal of Christ School ICSE, in his address, made teachers aware of the need to understand the new-age learner to achieve effectiveness in the teaching-learning process. 

The introductory session was conducted by the Principal Rev. Fr. Jinosh V Mathew CMI, who brought the teachers up to date with the instructional models recommended by the National Educational Policy and the National Curriculum Framework. 

The orientation on Academic Procedures was conducted by Ms. Lakshmi S Kurup. The session involved hands-on processing of academic records for the year, along with modifications in preparation of lesson plans. 

Teachers under the guidance of their Heads of Departments, prepared Curriculum Plans, Annual Plans and related documents, to be followed in the academic session of 2026-27, in accordance with the latest modifications in the National Educational Policy.

The orientation sessions for the Examination Process and regulations regarding Internal Assessment were conducted by Sr S Latha and Mr. Nibin Hansel, respectively. The teachers geared up for the new academic session by updating themselves on NEP-supported models of classroom instruction and pedagogy.
