The faculty members of Christ School, Bengaluru, participated in a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 11 July 2026 at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. The programme, titled “Empowering Educators: Excellence in Teaching, Leadership and Professional Growth,” was thoughtfully designed to strengthen teaching practices, leadership qualities, and professional competencies among educators. 

The day commenced with an inaugural session, followed by a series of insightful presentations by distinguished academicians and educational professionals. Dr. Mary Jacob spoke on “Effective Classroom Management: Practical Strategies for Success,” sharing innovative approaches to creating positive and engaging learning environments. Mr. Suku Thomas Samuel inspired the participants through his session on “Teaching with Purpose: Cultivating Compassion, Commitment and Consistency,” highlighting the values that define an effective educator.

The programme also featured Dr. Geethu Anna Mathew, who addressed the importance of maintaining work-life balance, enabling teachers to thrive in both their personal and professional lives. Mr. Sen B. Mathews conducted an interactive session on building strong teams for student success, emphasizing collaboration and collective responsibility in educational institutions. The final academic session by Fr. Joshy Mathew on “Leadership that Inspires: Building Influence through Action” encouraged educators to lead with integrity, vision, and purpose. 

The Faculty Development Programme offered valuable opportunities for learning, reflection, and professional interaction. It reinforced the significance of continuous professional development in fostering excellence in education and empowering teachers to meet the evolving needs of learners.
