The 70th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated on November 6, 2025, at St. Chavara Hall, Christ School CBSE, with grandeur and cultural splendour. The event was organized to commemorate the formation of the state of Karnataka and to honour its language, culture, and heritage.
The programme commenced with an Invocation Dance, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries. The Chief Guest, Sri N. Neelakanthagowda, former Assistant Deputy Director, Department of Pre-University Education, Bangalore, was accorded a warm welcome. Rev. Dr. Johnson Kadaparambil CMI, Principal, and Fr. Reji Koodapattu CMI, Vice Principal, presided over the event.
Students presented a wide range of cultural programmes including retro and folk dances, district-wise cultural diversity displays, group songs, moral stories, and the traditional Dollu Kunita. Each performance reflected the unity, colour, and spirit of Karnataka’s cultural mosaic.
The Chief Guest, in his address, emphasized the significance of preserving the Kannada language and celebrating the state’s glorious traditions. The Principal appreciated the dedication and creativity of the students and staff for making the celebration a resounding success.
The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks and the State Anthem, echoing pride and reverence for Karnataka. The programme stood as a beautiful tribute to the state’s enduring legacy of culture, language, and unity.
